From our notes, the earliest published mention that we've found for Dollar was the List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6> From that list, the Dollar post office opened in 1881.
We also found Dollar on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Tennessee (1888).
