Cumberland County was founded in 1855. Cumberland was created by taking area from White, Bledsoe, Rhea, Morgan, Fentress and Putnam Counties. From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Cumberland had a population of 60,520 people. This is an increase of 7.7% since the last Census (which gave a population of 56,193 people in 2010).
