Time Zone: Cumberland County lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time.

The community of Crossville is the Seat for Cumberland County.

Cumberland County was founded in 1855. Cumberland was created by taking area from White, Bledsoe, Rhea, Morgan, Fentress and Putnam Counties.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Cumberland had a population of 60,832 people. This is an increase of 8.53% since the last Census (which gave a population of 56,053 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Cumberland represented 0.88% of the total population of Tennessee.
