Time Zone: Pense lies in the Central Standard Time Zone (CST) and does not observe daylight saving time. The time zone in French: CST- Heure Normale du Centre (HNC).

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.
The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Pense was mentioned on a train schedule titled Canadian Pacific Railroad Time Tables (October 1899).
When there's a risk of an area code running out of phone numbers, an 'Overlay Area Code' is created that has the same geographic boundaries as the existing area code. In this case, the 306 code has been Overlayed with one of the following codes: 474 or 639. New phone numbers in the Pense area will be assigned with one of these codes: 306, 474 or 639. As a result, placing a call in the Pense area will require 10-digit dialing (where you enter both the area code and then the phone number).
