While we don't have a date for the founding of Komstad, you might consider that their post office opened in 1876.

From the 2010 Census (the most recent Census number we have), Komstad had a population of 13 people.<3> (see below for details).

We originally found mention of Komstad in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found (so far) for Komstad was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Komstad post office opened in 1876. The Komstad post office closed in 1906.
