At the time of the 2010 Census, Chelsea had a population of 27 people. This makes Chelsea the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 27 people, the population of Chelsea decreased 18.18% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 33 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Chelsea was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Chelsea post office opened in 1906.
