At the time of the 2010 Census, Saint Marys had a population of 13,070 people (or 41.02% of the total population of Elk County). This makes Saint Marys the county's most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 13,070 people, the population of Saint Marys decreased 9.87% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 14,502 people).
