How Far From Nixon to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Nixon to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance beginning in Nixon and extending to:
- Butler, which is the Seat of Butler County, lies just to the North Northeast.
- Harrisburg, which is the State Capital of Pennsylvania, lies 163 miles [262.3 km]<1> to the east southeast (ESE). If you could drive a straight line from Nixon to Harrisburg, with an average speed<6>of 63 miles [101.4 km] per hour, it would take less than three hours to make the trip.
