While we don't have a date for the founding of Kinzua, you might consider that their post office opened in 1823. The community was inundated by the Allegheny Reservoir. While the community is gone, the present day location for Kinzua is 1,320 feet [402 m] above sea level.<3>. Time Zone: The area where Kinzua was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Kinzua once stood is in the (814) area code.
