While we don't have a date for the founding of Hickory Run, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1848.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Hickory Run is 1,140 feet [347 m] above sea level.<4>.

We originally found mention of Hickory Run in the GNIS. For more information, see the Referenced GNIS Codes section on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hickory Run was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Hickory Run post office opened in 1848.

We also found Hickory Run in the book titled Table of U.S. Post Offices in the United States (Jan. 1851).
