The Commemorative Quarter for Oregon

Miscellaneous References and Mentions

While our initial information about Seaside came from various goverment sources (GNIS, US Census, FIPS), we also found mention of Seaside in various books, maps and other sources.

We've created the following list to keep track of the sources that proved useful in adding to our knowledge about Seaside. We hope that they will be useful to you.

Note: Initially, we were careless about keeping track of where our Seaside data came from. The following list of references and mentions is incomplete.

Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895)
Published by Rand McNally & Co.

A note taken from the Shipper's Guide for Seaside:
Services available in 1895: had a Post Office, no Railroad mentioned

Auto Trails Map of Oregon (1925)

Mobile Oil Map of Oregon (1949)

Seaside is contained in a comprehensive list of Post Offices that was created by Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<1>

We found Seaside in these Censuses: 2010-1990. See our Census Page for Seaside for more information.
