The town of Lima is located in Seminole County<1>.


The location of Lima has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<2>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Lima, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1907.

From the  Census Estimates for 2019, Lima has a population of 52 people<3> (see below for details).

Lima is 890 feet [271 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: Lima lies in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

Population Details ...

Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Lima had an population of 52 people. This is a decrease of 1.89% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 29.73% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Lima had a population of 53 people. This makes Lima the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 53 people, the population of Lima decreased 28.38% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 74 people).

We originally found mention of Lima in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lima was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Lima post office opened in 1907.

We also found Lima on a map titled Rand McNally Map of Oklahoma (1911).
