So far, we found very little information about Dorsey. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

Dorsey would have been located within present day Belmont County<2>.


The location of Dorsey has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Dorsey, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Dorsey is 800 feet [244 m] above sea level.<4>.

Time Zone: The area where Dorsey was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time
