At the time of the 2010 Census, Yonkers had a population of 195,976 people (which is 20.65% of the total population of Westchester County). This makes Yonkers the county's most populous community.

The population of Yonkers represents 1.01% of the population of New York (which has 19,378,102 people), making it the state's 12th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 195,976 people, the population of Yonkers has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (which had a count of 196,086 people).
