From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Pearl River was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Pearl River post office opened in 1872.

We also found Pearl River on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New York (1897).
