From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for North Sterling was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the North Sterling post office opened in 1839.

We also found North Sterling in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
