At the time of the 2010 Census, the Town of Babylon had a population of 213,603 people (which is 14.3% of the total population of Suffolk County). This makes Babylon the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Babylon represents 1.1% of the total population of New York (which has 19,378,102 people), making it the state's 9th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 213,603 people, the population of Babylon has remained roughly the same as the 2000 Census (with a count of 211,792 people).
