From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Brazos was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

X2X - From that list, the Brazos post office opened in 1898.

We also found Brazos in the book titled SPV's Comprehensive Railroad Atlas of North America - Colorado & Utah.
