Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hoboken had an population of 52,806 people. This is an increase of 5.6% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 36.88% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hoboken had a population of 50,005 people (which is 7.87% of the total population of Hudson County). This makes Hoboken the county's 4th most populous community.

The population of Hoboken represents 0.57% of the total population of New Jersey (which has 8,791,894 people), making it the state's 15th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 50,005 people, the population of Hoboken increased 29.62% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 38,577 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Hoboken was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>
