From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Litchfield was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Litchfield post office opened in 1804.

We also found Litchfield on a map titled Rand McNally Map of New Hampshire (1912).
