Time Zone: Merrimack County lies in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time.
The community of Concord is the Seat for Merrimack County. Concord is also the capital of New Hampshire.
Merrimack County was founded in 1823. Merrimack was created by taking area from Hillsborough and Rockingham Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Merrimack had a population of 151,606 people. This is an increase of 3.52% since the last Census (which gave a population of 146,445 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, Merrimack represented 11.12% of the total population of New Hampshire.
