The location of Keystone has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Keystone, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882. While the community is gone, the present day location for Keystone is 1,470 feet [448 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Keystone was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Keystone would have been located in the (701) area code.
