Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Trinity had an population of 6,598 people. This is a decrease of 0.24% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 1.38% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Trinity had a population of 6,614 people. This makes Trinity the county's 3rd most populous community.

The population of Trinity represents 0.07% of the total population of North Carolina (which has 9,535,483 people), making it the state's 110th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 6,614 people, the population of Trinity decreased 1.14% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 6,690 people).

We originally found mention of Trinity in both the FIPS-55 and the GNIS. For more information, see the FIPS and GNIS Codes sections on our Miscellaneous Page.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Trinity was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Trinity post office opened in 1894.

We also found Trinity in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
