Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Greensboro had an population of 296,908 people. This is an increase of 10.1% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 32.61% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Greensboro had a population of 269,666 people (or 55.21% of the total population of Guilford County). This makes Greensboro the county's most populous community.

The population of Greensboro represents 2.83% of the total population of North Carolina (which has 9,535,483 people), making it the state's 3rd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 269,666 people, the population of Greensboro increased 20.45% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 223,891 people).
