How Far From Deer Run to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers & Almanacs that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Deer Run to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers, the straight-line distance beginning in Deer Run and extending to:
- Hillsborough, which is the Seat of Orange County, lies just to the South Southeast.
- Raleigh, which is the State Capital of North Carolina, lies 38 miles [61.2 km]<1> to the southeast (SE). If you could walk a straight line from Deer Run to Raleigh, with an average speed<4> of 2.2 miles [3.5 km] per hour, it would take over two days to make the trip.
