Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Apex had an population of 59,485 people. This is an increase of 58.73% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 194.31% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Apex had a population of 37,476 people. This makes Apex the county's most populous community.

The population of Apex represents 0.39% of the population of North Carolina (which has 9,535,483 people), making it the state's 22nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 37,476 people, the population of Apex increased 85.41% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 20,212 people).
