At the time of the 2010 Census, Pickens had a population of 1,157 people (which is 6.03% of the total population of Holmes County). This makes Pickens the county's 5th most populous community. The population of Pickens represents 0.04% of the total population of Mississippi (which has 2,967,297 people), making it the state's 148th most populous community.
