The location of Lawrence has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3>


While we don't have a date for the founding of Lawrence, you might consider that their post office opened  in 1846.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Lawrence is 290 feet [88 m] above sea level.<4>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Lawrence was in the book titled U.S. Post Offices (Oct. 1846).
