Brewton would have been located within present day Jackson County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Brewton, you might consider that their post office opened in 1896.

Time Zone: The area where Brewton was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Brewton was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Brewton post office opened in 1896. The Brewton post office closed in 1907.
