Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Brandon had an population of 24,289 people. This is an increase of 11.91% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 47.78% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Brandon had a population of 21,705 people (or 15.33% of the total population of Rankin County). This makes Brandon the county's 2nd most populous community.
