At the time of the 2010 Census, Anguilla had a population of 726 people (or 14.77% of the total population of Sharkey County). This makes Anguilla the county's 2nd most populous community.

The population of Anguilla represents 0.02% of the total population of Mississippi (which has 2,967,297 people), making it the state's 182nd most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 726 people, the population of Anguilla decreased 19.96% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 907 people).

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Anguilla was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Anguilla post office opened in 1884.
