Hylas was located in the central region of Michigan's Upper Peninsula (UP).

Hylas would have been located within present day Dickinson County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Hylas, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.

While the community is gone, the present day location for Hylas is 1,060 feet [323 m] above sea level.<3>.
