While we don't have a date for the founding of Faunus, you might consider that their post office opened in 1896. While the community is gone, the present day location for Faunus is 960 feet [293 m] above sea level.<3>. Time Zone: The area where Faunus was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel east from Faunus (for example, toward Gladstone), you will soon leave Central Time and cross into the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT).
