Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Waldo had an population of 863 people. This is an increase of 13.25% since the 2010 Census (or an increase of 17.74% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Waldo had a population of 762 people. This makes Waldo the county's 22nd most populous community.

The population of Waldo represents 0.06% of the total population of Maine (which has 1,328,361 people), making it the state's 321st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 762 people, the population of Waldo increased 3.96% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 733 people).
