From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Atlantic was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<4>

From that list, the Atlantic post office opened in 1873.

We also found Atlantic on a map titled George#&160;F. Cram Map (1901).
