How Far From Assonet to ...
We spend a lot of time looking through Gazetteers that were published in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Many of the Gazetteers include the distance from a community such as Assonet to various places of note, such as the White House.
With a nod to our favorite Gazetteers and using the location of where the historic<2> community of Assonet once stood, the straight-line distance<3> beginning in Assonet and extending to:
- Taunton, which is the Seat of Bristol County, lies just to the North.
- Boston, which is the State Capital of Massachusetts, lies 39 miles [62.8 km]<3> to the north (N).
