So far, we found very little information about Voorhees. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

While we don't have the exact location of Voorhees , we believe that it would have been located within present day Stevens County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Voorhees, you might consider that their post office opened in 1887.

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Voorhees was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>
From that list, the Voorhees post office opened in 1887.
