From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Treece was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<7>

From that list, the Treece post office opened in 1917.

We also found Treece on a map titled Shell Oil Road Map for Kansas (1950).
