So far, we found very little information about Quivera. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>
We've added Quivera to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Quivera - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Quivera, please Contact Us.
While we don't have the exact location of Quivera , we believe that it would have been located within present day Wyandotte County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Quivera, you might get a feel for it by knowing that during our research the earliest mention that we found (so far) was in a book dated 1895.
Time Zone: The area where Quivera was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time
Quivera would have been located in the (913) area code.

As we work on our Gazetteer, we occasionally find mention of a community that is new to us. When we find such a community, we add it to our Gazetteer with the hope of adding more information in the future.
