Welcome to Quivera ...

So far, we found very little information about Quivera. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1>

We've added Quivera to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. We would especially like to find the location of Quivera - knowing its coordinates, we can explore things like its relationship to neighboring communities, nearby cemeteries, etc. If you can help us with Quivera, please Contact Us.

While we don't have the exact location of Quivera , we believe that it would have been located within present day Wyandotte County<2>.

While we don't have a date for the founding of Quivera, you might consider that their post office opened in 1889.

Time Zone: The area where Quivera was located is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT) and observes daylight saving time

The earliest source we've referenced which mentioned Quivera was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<3>

From that list, the Quivera post office opened in 1889.

We also found Quivera in the book titled Business Atlas and Shippers' Guide (1895).
