Antelope would have been located within present day Butte County<2>.
While we don't have a date for the founding of Antelope, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882.
While the community is gone, the present day location for Antelope is 6,290 feet [1,917 m] above sea level.<3> In other words, the elevation of Antelope is about 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Antelope was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>
