Welcome to Antelope ...So far, we found very little information about Antelope. The little that we've found leads us believe that the community is historic.<1> We've added Antelope to our Gazetteer with the hope that we can develop more information. If you can help us with Antelope, please Contact Us. Antelope would have been located within present day Butte County<2>. The location of Antelope has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Antelope, you might consider that their post office opened in 1882. While the community is gone, the present day location for Antelope is 6,290 feet [1,917 m] above sea level.<4> In other words, the altitude of Antelope is about 1¼ mile [or ~2 km] above sea level. Time Zone: The area where Antelope was located is in the Mountain Time Zone (MST/MDT) and observes daylight saving time The location where Antelope once stood is in the (208) area code. Communities Also Named Antelope ...Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are two Idaho communities named Antelope: This one is located in Butte County and the other is located in Bonneville County.
