Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Hillsboro had an population of 175 people. This is a decrease of 2.78% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 14.63% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Hillsboro had a population of 180 people. This makes Hillsboro the county's 7th most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 180 people, the population of Hillsboro decreased 12.2% from the 2000 Census (with a count of 205 people).
