From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Coalville was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<5>

From that list, the Coalville post office opened in 1874.

We also found Coalville in the book titled Sixth Biennial Report of the State Mine Inspectors, Two Years Ending June 30, 1893.
