From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Agricola was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Agricola post office opened in 1854.

We also found Agricola in the book titled Iowa State Gazetteer (1865).
