While we don't have a date for the founding of Igo, you might consider that their post office opened in 1886.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, Igo has a population of 359 people<4> (see below for details).
While the community is gone, the present day location for Igo is 740 feet [226 m] above sea level.<5>.

From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Igo was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<8>
From that list, the Igo post office opened in 1886.
