From our notes, the earliest published mention we've found for Eagle Cliff was in the document titled List of Post Offices from Cameron Blevins and Richard Helbock.<6>

From that list, the Eagle Cliff post office opened in 1860.

We also found Eagle Cliff on a map (with an unknown title) dated 1883.
