Welcome to Crain ...So far, we found very little information about Crain. The location of Crain has been provided by the Geographic Names Information System (ie- the GNIS).<3> While we don't have a date for the founding of Crain, you might consider that their post office opened in 1899. While the community is gone, the present day location for Crain is 1,160 feet [354 m] above sea level.<4>. Time Zone: The area where Crain was located is in the Eastern Time Zone (EST/EDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: While Crain is in the Eastern Time Zone, the area just to the west is in the Central Time Zone (CST/CDT).
