DeKalb County was founded in 1822. DeKalb was created by taking area from Henry, and Fayette Counties.
From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> DeKalb had a population of 759,932 people. This is an increase of 9.83% since the last Census (which gave a population of 691,893 people in 2010).
At the time of the 2010 Census, DeKalb represented 7.14% of the total population of Georgia.
