Palm Beach County was founded April 30, 1909 and was created by taking area from Dade County.

From the Census Estimates for 2019, <1> Palm Beach had a population of 1,496,770 people. This is an increase of 13.08% since the last Census (which gave a population of 1,323,619 people in 2010).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Palm Beach represented 7.04% of the total population of Florida.
