Taken from the 2019 Census Estimates, Center had an population of 2,385 people. This is an increase of 6.95% since the 2010 Census (or a decrease of 0.29% since the 2000 Census).

At the time of the 2010 Census, Center had a population of 2,230 people (which is 18.55% of the total population of Rio Grande County). This makes Center the county's most populous community.

The population of Center represents 0.04% of the total population of Colorado (which has 5,029,196 people), making it the state's 111st most populous community.

With a 2010 count of 2,230 people, the population of Center decreased 6.77% from the 2000 Census (which had a count of 2,392 people).
