While we don't have a date for the founding of Amos, you might consider that their post office opened in 1920. While the community is gone, the present day location for Amos is 260 feet [79 m] above sea level.<3>. Time Zone: The area where Amos was located is in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time Note: If you travel east from Amos, you will leave Pacific Time and cross into the Mountain Standard Time Zone (MST). In addition, you will be moving from an area that observes daylight saving time to one that does not. If Amos still existed, it would have been in the (760) & (442)<4> area codes.
