While we don't have a date for the founding of Dot, you might get a feel for it by knowing that the earliest mention that we've found (so far) was on a map dated 1925.
Time Zone: Dot lies in the Pacific Time Zone (PST/PDT) and observes daylight saving time. The time zone in French: PST- Heure Normale du Pacifique (HNP), PDT- Heure Avancée du Pacifique (HAP).
Using our Gazetteer, we found that there are 8 communities that are also named Dot - they are located in Alabama, Georgia (2), Kentucky, Michigan, Texas, Virginia and Washington.

The earliest source (so far) we've referenced which mentioned Dot was on a map titled Map of British Columbia (from Gulf Refining, 1925).
